Can I customize my wedding bands?

Yes, we offer customisation to suit your preferences.

If you are placing your order online, you may indicate your requested changes in the Remarks section at checkout. Our eClarity representative will contact you to confirm the design details.

Alternatively, you may schedule an online consultation or in-store appointment via the customer service

What can I custom make for my wedding bands?

Customisation options include your choice of gold colour (white, yellow, rose, or black), finishing (gloss or matte), diamond setting (single bezel, pavé, or channel-set rows), band width, internal fitting, and personalised engraving.

Can I mix and match wedding bands?

Yes, you may freely mix and match different designs to create a pairing that reflects your personal style.

Each ring can be added individually from the product page, allowing you to select your preferred combination.

Do you offer engraving on rings?

Yes, we offer engraving services for your rings.

Engravings are typically done on the inner surface of the band. You may choose any English font available in standard word-processing formats. The engraving is limited to up to 15 characters, including spaces.

For engraving on the outer surface or sides of the ring, specialised techniques such as laser engraving are required. Additional charges apply, typically ranging from SGD 45 onwards.

Can we engrave special characters?

Yes, simple special characters such as hearts, tildes, and infinity symbols can be included in your engraving.

For more intricate symbols that are not available on a standard keyboard (e.g. spade, heart with an arrow), a custom engraving mould may be required. Additional charges apply, typically ranging from SGD 30 to SGD 100.

Can we engrave languages other than English?

Yes, we offer engraving in other languages, including Chinese and selected Japanese characters.

Due to space considerations, engravings in foreign languages are limited to up to 5 characters.

Diamonds

When I order a diamond and setting online, will I receive them separately?

When you purchase a diamond together with a ring setting, the diamond will be professionally set, and you will receive a completed diamond ring.

If you prefer to receive the diamond loose and the setting separately, please let us know and we will be happy to assist.

Why should I buy diamonds online?

Buying diamonds online offers greater transparency, flexibility, and value.

You can browse a wide selection of diamonds in one place, making it easier to compare specifications such as the 4Cs and price. You also have the flexibility to filter based on your preferred criteria, including budget, size, and quality.

Should you require guidance, our Accredited Jewellery Professionals and Gemologists are available to assist you via email or online consultation.

In addition, with lower retail overheads, online pricing is often more competitive, allowing you to enjoy better value for your purchase.

What is the difference between eClarity.com.sg and other online diamond websites?

eClarity.com.sg is curated for customers across Asia Pacific, with a focus on good quality diamonds and refined, timeless designs. Our selection includes well-cut diamonds, such as “Triple Excellent” stones, paired with elegant and thoughtfully crafted settings.

In addition, we provide personalised support throughout your journey from consultation to after-sales care by our multilingual team fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Bahasa Melayu.

Is there a diamond price difference between eClarity.com.sg and eClarity @ Ngee Ann City?

Yes, there is a difference. Diamonds on eClarity.com.sg are typically priced about 10% lower compared to those at eClarity @ Ngee Ann City.

This is because the website operates on a more self-service model, while our Ngee Ann City showroom offers a more personalised experience, including the opportunity to view and compare diamonds in person with guidance from our consultants.

Is there a difference in the diamond database on eClarity.com.sg and eClarity @ Ngee Ann City?

Yes, eClarity maintains two separate diamond databases.

This allows us to cater to different customer preferences - those who prefer to view and select diamonds in person at our showroom, as well as those who prefer a self-service experience online with clear specification comparisons.

Where are your diamonds from? Are they all certified?

Our natural diamonds are mainly sourced from Belgium and Israel.

Most diamonds above 0.30 carat come with an international diamond grading report, primarily from GIA, one of the world’s most respected diamond laboratories.

For lab-grown diamonds, they are typically accompanied by certification from IGI, which is widely recognised for grading lab-grown stones.

Can I upgrade a diamond I bought from eClarity?

Diamonds purchased online are not eligible for an upgrade.

For “3EX” diamonds purchased in-store, they may be traded up within 2 years from the date of purchase at full value (excluding the ring setting and sales tax), when upgrading to a “3EX” diamond that is at least 2 times the original value.

Valuation guidelines are as follows:

  • Within 2 years: up to 100% of the original purchase price
  • Between 2 to 3 years: up to 70% of the original purchase price
  • After 3 years: up to 50% of the original purchase price

The diamond must be in its original condition and accompanied by the original GIA grading report.

Maintenance

How often should I clean my diamond jewellery?

It is recommended to clean your diamond jewellery regularly to maintain its brilliance. For daily wear pieces, a gentle clean at home every 2–3 weeks helps remove oil and dirt buildup. We also recommend professional cleaning and inspection once or twice a year to ensure the setting remains secure.

Are there any other things I should take note of when caring for my diamond jewellery?

While diamonds are highly durable, the settings may wear over time. We recommend removing your jewellery when doing household chores, gardening, or outdoor activities. It is also best to avoid contact with chemicals.

When not in use, you may store your jewellery in a soft, compartmentalised pouch to prevent scratches and keep each piece in good condition.

I saw the phrases “Receive in 5D” and “Receive in 21D” for delivery on the website. Why is there a difference?

Items with the status indicated as “5D” are designs that are in-stock, and they can be packed and sent out in 5 working days.

Items with the status indicated as “21D” are designs that require backordering, and they can be packed and sent out in 21 working days.

How long does it take to craft an engagement ring or a pair of wedding bands?

Does eClarity.com.sg charge sales tax?

For deliveries within Singapore, GST is included in the final price shown at checkout, with no additional insurance required.

For international deliveries, eClarity.com.sg does not charge sales tax. A 1% insurance fee will apply, and you may wish to check any applicable taxes or duties in your local country.

Are there any shipping charges when I purchase online?

For deliveries within Singapore, we offer complimentary islandwide delivery via Speedpost. You may also opt for a complimentary personal delivery with professional consultation. Customers may choose one of these two delivery options.

For international deliveries, a flat shipping fee of SGD 180 applies, and orders will be shipped via FedEx.

Can I resize my ring if the size is not right?

Yes, we offer a one-time complimentary resizing within 2 months from the date of shipment or collection.

Subsequent resizing services are available from $90–$180 per ring, which includes inspection, cleaning of the diamonds, and polishing of the ring.

How can I estimate my girlfriend's ring size?

We have a printable ring sizer guide available on our website. You can estimate the size by using the ring sizer strip to measure around her finger, or by placing one of her existing rings against the ring size chart provided in the guide.

Why do I need to schedule an appointment?

Our office operates like a production and consultation space, where we design rings, coordinate mock-ups with our service centre, and carry out quality checks. We also attend to customers who wish to consult with our Gemologist or Accredited Jewellery Professional.

Scheduling an appointment allows us to dedicate time and ensure you receive personalised advice and a smooth experience.

Our appointment hours are Mondays to Fridays, 1pm to 8pm, and Saturdays, 12pm to 3pm. You may schedule an appointment via SMS/WhatsApp or call us at +65 98331220, or by filling in the appointment form on our website.

What is the difference between Wah Chan and eClarity?

eClarity was founded by the third generation of an established jewellery family. It began in New York when our founder, Ms. Amanda, trained as a Gemologist at GIA and started selling diamonds and wedding bands online. The company was later established in Singapore in 2005.

Wah Chan, founded in 1955, has grown from a single jewellery shop into one of Asia’s largest jewellery retail chains, with multiple outlets across the region.

While the founders are from the same family, the two brands focus on different business directions. eClarity specialises in bespoke diamond jewellery and personalised services, while Wah Chan focuses on retail jewellery. Our affiliation allows us to share knowledge and expertise across both brands.
